Shiraz Viognier 2019

As our wine maker says 'Winemaking with good fruit is easy' and this is especially true for our 2019 Shiraz Viognier.

The 2019 Vintage in Bendigo was remembered as the driest period in living memory. Not a drop of rain was recorded from mid January – late April, contrary to that the weather was not all that hot The clear cloudless nights dropped temperatures to retain natural acidity and freshness, while the warm days ripened those tannins and gave the full ‘sunshine in a bottle’ character our warmer grape growing regions of Australia are so highly regarded for.

The end result is a wine that is a classy and complex affair. Lovely hints of Viognier's spicy apricots are mixed with aromas of, blackcurrant and raspberries. The palate is rich, round and fill of the weight of intense fruit and savoury, earthy elements.
