2007 Cabernet Sauvignon

This wine has similar characteristics to the 2003 described above.

2012 Cabernet Sauvignon

The colour is spectacular, the bright crimson-purple hue that of a 2yo, not a 5yo wine, possibly due to higher acidity and lower pH than that normally associated with a wine of this alcohol (and origin, for that matter). Cassis is the dominant player on the bouquet and palate, the savoury tannins finely constructed and embedded. A fine cabernet.  94 Points James Halliday

2007 Shiraz Viognier

Incredibly ripe redcurrant and blackberry bouquet, with a suggestion of bay leaf in the background; very warm on entry, there is a generous quality to the fruit; the tannins sit apart at this stage, but given the dimensions of the wine, time will be of great assistance. 94 Points James Halliday

2008 Shiraz Viognier

Deep purple-crimson; a very complex bouquet of blackberry, plum, leather and licorice; the highly structured palate confidently captures all of those aromas, finishing with a balanced display of tannins and oak.  95 points James Halliday

2009 Shiraz Viognier

Deep crimson-purple; the outstanding bouquet, with black fruits at its core, leads into a full-bodied palate with black fruits, spice, licorice and oak all adding to the appeal.  94 points James Halliday

2010 Shiraz Viognier

Vivid, deep colour coming from the co-fermentation of 5% viognier, matured for 16 months in old French oak barriques. Everything about this wine is impressive, from its vibrant cherry and plum fruit through to its fine, spicy tannins that run through much of the palate, and its impressive finish and aftertaste.  95 points James Halliday

2012 Shiraz Viognier

Wild yeast co-fermented in open wooden vats, then aged in used French barriques for 16 months. The bouquet and palate are extremely complex, with a wonderful array of spicy, savoury, peppery overtones to the blackberry and plum fruit; despite the complexity and intensity the wine possesses, it is also very elegant and carefully detailed, the open vat fermentation and maturation in used oak responsible for the texture and length, rather than the flavour, of the wine. This will always be a great wine with food. Top value, too.  96 points James Halliday
